It is 1940. The authorities and population of the United Kingdom are looking with horror at the invasion of the German army into Europe. The battle for Britain begins in which well-trained and experienced Luftwaffe pilots fiercely attack the Allied RAF planes. Polish pilots come to the rescue: Jan Zumbach, Witold Urbanowicz, Mirosław Ferić and Witold "Tolo" Łokuciewski. They are veterans who want to fight to defend their homeland even outside its borders. Initial distrust of the British must give way to the great esteem that the English begin to give Polish pilots. This is how the 303 Squadron of Tadeusz Kosciuszko emerged, which turned out to be the most effective air force during the Battle of Britain. The heroes are credited with shooting down more than 120 German aircraft - a result that no other squadron could have achieved.
"We do not beg for freedom, we fight for it" - Witold Urbanowicz, commander of the 303 Squadron
"Never in the history of human conflicts has so many owed so much to so few" - a fragment of the speech of Winston Churchill, in which the British Prime Minister thanked the airmen for stopping Hitler's invasion.
"I waited my whole life for the movie about 303 Squadron - so that people in Poland and around the world could get to know and see the history of great Polish heroes, including my grandfather - Sergeant Stanisław Słowikowski. This tale is full of emotions, drama, brotherhood and the huge happiness of a few people triumphing over the enemy army. It is a film that everyone should see! "- Antoni Dmochowski, grandson of Sergeant Stanisław Słowikowski from 302 Squadron
